Shoot Films Not People has been around since 1995, but in 2020, we got a new logo.
The name, Shoot Films, Not People was birthed by activist/filmmaker after the acquittal of LAPD officers in the Rodney King beating of 1991, which was filmed by an onlooker. The slogan initially was a call for people to take action by documenting their own communities. Shortly after in 1995, it became the name and brand of an indie production company and has now evolved into a signature phrase that many people from various backgrounds can relate to.
Shoot Films not People provides quality 100% cotton t-shirts and hoodies at an affordable price. We also have cotton blends for cheaper prices.
We offer our products mostly through this website, as well as at film festivals, cultural events, barbershops, college campuses, and pop-up shops throughout Los Angeles and other cities in the future. So be on the lookout for us.
